How to download Android 13 Beta 2

Google hasn’t even given Android 13 an official on-stage announcement yet but you can already try it out with the release of the first public beta. Those with a compatible Pixel phone can download it now and take it for a spin

Now Google I/O has taken place, Android 13 is available on third-party phones and tablets as well as Pixel handsets – although some are getting Beta 1. Below we’ve got all the information you need on installing Beta 2 on your handset if it’s compatible.

How to download Android 13 Beta

If you have an eligible Pixel phone from the list above, you can get Android 13 in a jiffy. Here’s how to install the OS in a few simple steps.

  1. Head to the Android Beta Program site, making sure you’re logged into your Google account
  2. Scroll down to ‘Your eligible devices’ (see screenshot above)
  3. Select ‘opt in’ on the device you want to install Android 13 on
  4. Read the T&Cs, tick the relevant boxes and then click ‘Confirm and enroll’
  5. On your phone head to Settings > System > Advanced > System Update > Check for update

If you ever want to opt out, simply go to the Android Beta Program site and select ‘opt out’ under Your eligible devices where you clicked ‘Opt in’.
